I am proud to be a part of the Texas Transplant Physician Group. We perform bone marrow transplants for many hematological and non-hematological diseases at the Texas Transplant Institute, one of the largest blood and marrow stem cell transplant programs in the United States. This group has performed more than 2,100 adult bone marrow transplants since its beginning in 1993. Part of the Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Trial Network, an NIH-sponsored consortium of stem cell transplant programs participating in multi-institutional trials as well as actively involved in investigator initiated clinical and translational research. We were the first program in North America to be accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cell Therapy (FACT) and have remained accredited ever since
