Clinical cardiac electrophysiology is the science of exploring, diagnosing, and treating the heart rhythm disorders. This highly advanced area of cardiology analyzes and treats the mechanism, spread, and interpretation of the electric currents that arise within heart muscle tissue and initiate each heart muscle contraction. A specialist in cardiac electrophysiology is known as a “cardiac electrophysiologist” or “electrophysiologist.”

 

Dr. Ranaei is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and board certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine. He is also a Diplomate of the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. As a mark of distinction and through advanced training, certification and demonstrated commitment to the research and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, he has been recognized as a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS).
